Great hosts in a great place. It felt like a home for a long weekend for me and my friends. Amazing pricing too, it was so worth it!

We booked this last minute and I’m so happy I picked this spot. It was cute and charming, a really nice unique touch to everything. Every room was really well ventilated, personally I really enjoyed that. 5 stars all around!!

We had a wonderful stay at Chris & Tania’s place during our weekend trip to Canmore. They’re fantastic hosts—responsive, friendly, and genuinely approachable. Their check-in instructions were clear, and they went out of their way to accommodate our early check-in request since we were traveling with our two-month-old. Much appreciated. They also shared excellent recommendations for food and activities around town, which made our short stay even better. The suite itself is beautiful, cozy, spotless, and offers lovely mountain views—exactly what you hope for in Canmore. Overall everything was top-notch, and we’d absolutely consider booking again on future trips.

Paintbox Lodge is a gem in the heart of Canmore. Wonderful cabin-like structure with all of the modern amenities. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate are a warm welcome bonus. Their restaurant suggestions were perfect. We would definitely stay there again, no question.

Das Studio war groß - mit 2 schönen Schlafzimmern und einem kleinen Balkon. Die Umgebung war sehr ruhig, aber in 2 Minuten ist man an der Straße wo sich viele tolle Restaurants und Souvenir Geschäfte befinden. Canmore ist eine ausgezeichnete Alternative zu Banff, weniger touristisch - ein Geheimtipp. Die Kommunikation war perfekt und wir erhielten viele Tipps, bereits vor unserer Anreise. Unten in der Küche gibt es die Möglichkeit Tee und Kaffee zu machen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit sehr gerne zurück kommen an diesen schönen Ort!!! Herzlichen Dank für alles

Loved staying here and would recommend it over Banff which is a zoo. So nice coming back after a day in the mountains and being able to walk into restaurants with little to no wait, or quickly getting coffee at Canary in the morning before setting out. A few days picked up a few cans of local beers and strolled down to the river to chill and jump in for a cool off. They do have 3 gear beach cruisers you can use free, I did the full legacy trail 50k to banff and back so it’s doable but wouldn’t recommend on one of these lol. There were a few cans of bear mace in the communal area free as well. No complaints with the drive to Banff, it’s pretty and never prevented me from doing the things I wanted. Made it to Lake Louise, just got up at 3:30am to snag parking there. Would definitely stay again.

Le logement correspond au descriptif, la literie est confortable, cependant le matelas du canapé dans le salon doit être changé et je suggère d’ajouter une bouilloire dans le logement. L’emplacement est idéal et nous avons beaucoup apprécié de pouvoir nous garer juste devant avec l’emplacement privé en plein centre de Canmore.

Chris and Tanya's place is nice. I liked the little touches like the chocolates and earplugs on each nightstand. There were two issue that were not so bad that I would take away a star but would make me consider looking for other accomodations if I return to Banff. One, it looked like the place once had central air (evidenced by the thermostat on the wall that is not in use). I'm guessing it was a one a large, single family home that was divided into sub-sections to turn it into a mini-hotel. Because the central air is no longer in use, all the AC for the four rooms I rented (living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom) came from one portable AC in the living room (which cannot be relocated due to how it's attached to the window). This made it really chilly in the living room but warmed in the bedrooms. If you were sharing the place with another couple you can either close the bedroom door for privacy or have AC but not both. Also, it was quite dark due to no overhead lights in most rooms

The room was perfect for 5 adults, private and had a great stay!

That’s very good and very quiet hotel ,except some of the facilities here are outdated.

We had an excellent stay! It was an adorable and cozy place that was in a perfect location for walking to explore Canmore as well as driving through Banff! Definitely will be returning!

The stay was very comfortable. Bedrooms are spacious and there is a fridge in the room too. Hosts are very active. Enjoyed the experience in all.

It was good for what we needed - wouldn’t recommend for 6 which is advertised.

The place was as advertised. We found it a bit hard to find as we found the building wasn't clearly marked. Chris and Tanya were easily accessible via email when there was communication between us. No complaints.

We had a great stay at Chris and Tanya’s. The perfect vibe for a mountain getaway. It’s right in the middle of the action so we liked that we could park the car and just walk around, everything we wanted was close by. We only drove to go out to hike. I loved making a really great coffee in the kitchen in the morning and then going back to the room to wake up and have our coffee on the balcony looking at the scenery. Check in and out was simple and low key and I didn’t feel like anything was missing from the property that I would have liked to have. They have done a good job of thinking of what you might need or want. The whole place is really beautiful and I didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to go back again, we loved it!

Nous avons passé 4 nuits à Canmore dans le logement/appartement de Chris et Tanya. Il est idéalement situé dans cette charmante petite ville, où vous allez facilement trouver restaurants, boutiques en tous genres, galeries d’art. A partir de Canmore vous pourrez aisément visiter les sites remarquables du parc national de Banff. L’appartement de Chris et Tanya, le Printbox, comprend plusieurs chambres (les literies sont de qualité), une vaste cuisine commune et un petit salon agrémenté d’une cheminée. Cerise sur le gâteau, il est décoré avec des œuvres d’art, une mini galerie d’art en fait. Chris et Tanya, ont été adorables, à l’écoute et surtout très réactifs. Je conseille cet appartement, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.

This little gem in the heart of Canmore is a fantastic place to stay. Chris and Tanya are wonderful hosts who actively kept us informed of things we should see and do, with great suggestions for places to eat. For a beautiful, relaxing, stay close to Calgary and Banff, we highly recommend Chris and Tanya's apartment!

Amazing spot! The Miele espresso maker was a great touch. Would easily recommend staying here if you’re looking to explore the Banff area, as it’s only a 20 minute drive. And about an hour away from Lake Louise.

This was a girls weekend trip. The location was great. The room and amenities were fantastic. The rates were reasonable. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

We had an amazing time here! Beautiful touches in the room from high-quality linens, pillows, duvets, and Rocky Mountain bath products to the whole vibe of the place with gorgeous art, puzzles and games, espresso machine, and a full professional kitchen. Being right in town was a huge plus as we were able to walk about without stressing with parking. We absolutely loved our stay and will most certainly return!

This is a really nice lodge in a great location, but guests need to be aware that they cannot cook in the shared kitchen facility!! This was a disappointment.

Great spot in downtown Canmore!

Comfortable stay in a warm and welcoming lodge. The location is fantastic. Close to all the restaurants on main street. The accommodation was sparkling clean and comfortable. Parking was a bonus.

Our stay is pretty good! The house is beautiful and clean. Chris and Tanya are very nice and good at communicating. They always answer and solve my problems on time. We all appreciate it! If I go to Canmore and Banff next time, I definitely will consider to choose this again!

Great host and accommodation .

This place is at a great location in the center of Canmore (half an hour by bus to Banff). Compared to the pricy places in Banff, this is a great deal. Chris and Tanya were always responsive whenever I had a question. The suite is beautiful, as well as the common area. All the furnitures are clean and comfy. Overall, beautiful place, helpful host and great location. Would def visit again.😊
